End of the road For PCD roadshows |
22 Mar 2005 |
The General Dental Council is rounding off its series of PCD roadshows with two final events in Derry and Belfast this week.
Since March 2003, the GDC has held 26 roadshows across the UK, from Scotland to Devon. More than 6,000 delegates have attended the events. Organised with the Postgraduate Deaneries, and co-sponsored by the Departments of Health, the roadshows have given PCDs an opportunity to find out more about statutory registration and what it will involve. In a statement, the GDC has said that it has "welcomed meeting PCDs as they have travelled around the country. These events have given the GDC an opportunity to reach a very large number of existing and prospective registrants across the UK to tell them about PCD registration, answer queries and address any concerns. The GDC has also been able to use attendees’ feedback to develop policy on issues such as transitional routes to registration for dental nurses."
