OSAP introduces infection control guide |

The US-based Organisation for Safety and Asepsis Procedures (OSAP) – has introduced a new guide entitled Guide for Safety and Infection Control for Oral Healthcare Missions.
It contains 52 pages of advice, suggestions, and sample forms and worksheets aiming to ensure the safety of dental workers as well as patients when giving humanitarian aid in non-traditional care settings in developing lands. Drawing on the observations and past experiences of actual mission workers, the Guide claims to give a number of practical solutions to potential problems, such as: Is the local water quality questionable quality?”, No electricity to run your autoclave?” or How can we set up a treatment area?” For more information go to
